Construction Executive has included ten IVO Systems modules on its 2025 Top Construction Technology Firms™ List.

Published annually, Construction Executive’s Top Tech List highlights the technology solutions making the biggest impact on the construction industry. In 2025, ten of IVO’s eleven modules earned a spot alongside other leading tools that contractors rely on every day.

A note from Eric Christensen, Founder of IVO Systems:

"What's truly unique about IVO Systems is the fact that all of these different things work together. Everything done in IVO Systems stacks. These modules auto-populate each other and feed into the system to make your crews more efficient, your data more accurate, and create that truly integrated operations hub that everyone’s wanted but couldn’t find until now."

2025 Top Construction Technology Firms - Construction Executive

This recognition means a lot to us - not just because it highlights IVO, but because it validates the everyday challenges our software helps heavy civil contractors overcome. Keeping track of equipment across multiple jobs. Keeping crews organized when plans change. Staying on top of equipment inspections, maintenance, and rentals. Collecting accurate field data and processing payroll with less back-and-forth.

IVO was built to solve those exact problems - connecting the field and the office with tools that save time, reduce mistakes, and keep projects moving.

Here’s a closer look at the IVO Systems modules recognized by Construction Executive, and the value they deliver to contractors in the field and the office.

Managing Equipment and Assets

TrackVO

TrackVO is your online magnet board for managing equipment by project. It replaces physical magnets and sticky notes with a live, company-accessible dashboard. From any device, you can see where equipment is, move assets between projects, and keep photos, notes, and permits in one place. You control who can view or edit what, and even non-GPS equipment, attachments, and tools can be tracked manually. Whether you’re running multiple crews or one big job, TrackVO cuts down on phone calls and gives instant visibility into where your assets are.

TelematicsVO

TelematicsVO brings all your GPS and telematics data into one platform, regardless of provider. It combines OEM and third-party feeds to give a single, accurate view of equipment location, usage, idle time, and performance. You can build project geofences that automatically update TrackVO as equipment moves, helping eliminate manual entry and ensuring your map always reflects what’s happening in the field.

MaintainVO

MaintainVO helps you stay ahead of downtime with scheduled preventive maintenance, work order tracking, and historical service records. It allows you to schedule by hours, miles, or dates, manage parts and specs, and keep a full digital record of every repair. Mechanics and managers can see and update work orders in real time, with alerts and notifications that make sure nothing gets missed.

EqInspectVO

EqInspectVO replaces paper inspection forms with simple, mobile checklists. Operators can complete inspections from right on their phone, attach photos and notes, and flag issues that automatically sync to MaintainVO for follow-up. Managers can monitor inspection compliance and quickly identify equipment that needs attention before it turns into downtime.

Scheduling Crews and Dispatching Equipment

ScheduleVO

ScheduleVO brings employee scheduling into the modern era. Using a digital “magnet board” view, you can assign crews and individuals to jobs from your computer or phone. Once schedules are set, send text or email notifications that include map pins, notes, and equipment details. When plans change - think rain delays or shifting priorities - you can update and resend schedules instantly by division, project, or employee. ScheduleVO also confirms receipt of notifications, so you know everyone’s seen the latest information. From their phones, employees can access job details, notes, documents, and inspection or timecard forms. ScheduleVO can run alone or connect with other IVO modules for a complete, synchronized workflow.

DispatchVO

DispatchVO simplifies how you move equipment and manage tickets. Dispatchers can assign tickets to drivers, attach route maps, permits, or photos, and update details as plans change. Drivers can open their tickets on any device, log moves, and mark them complete. The result is a clear, auditable record of every dispatch - fewer calls, fewer missed details, and smoother coordination between the shop and the field.

Timecards, Payroll, and Job Costing

TimeVO

TimeVO is all about making timecards simple, accurate, and connected. It offers auto-populated electronic timecards that reduce manual entry by pre-filling project, employee, and equipment information. Built for heavy civil contractors, it our timecards support bid items and cost codes so the collected data aligns with accounting. When connected with TrackVO and ScheduleVO, field timecards can fill themselves with crew and equipment data - eliminating double entry and errors. TimeVO also integrates with ERP systems like Viewpoint Vista to keep your platforms in sync.

The bottom line: TimeVO streamlines payroll and improves data accuracy, giving contractors clear insight into labor and equipment costs without extra effort. And yes, we've got a solution for mechanic timecards as well.

Rentals, Planning, and Documentation

RentalVO

RentalVO helps contractors manage owned and rented equipment in the same system. It tracks rental start and end dates, utilization, costs, and rent-to-own status while displaying rental units alongside company-owned assets in TrackVO. Telematics data from your rentals can flow into the system automatically, letting you see usage and cost-per-hour in real time.

EqPlannerVO

EqPlannerVO gives you a long-term, calendar-style view of where every piece of equipment is headed. It’s ideal for multi-week or multi-project planning, using a simple Gantt interface that shows availability and conflicts at a glance. You can plan by equipment type, job, or date, and even create dispatch tickets directly from the planner when it’s time to move assets.

UtilityLocateVO

UtilityLocateVO keeps 811 tickets and utility locate information organized from start to finish. You can track ticket numbers, photos, and notes, and link them to specific projects. Field employees can access and update ticket info directly from their phones, ensuring that locates stay compliant and visible across teams. The system also keeps a full record of historical 811 information, so you can view past versions of tickets, confirm what work was done, and maintain accurate documentation for future reference.

A Flexible Platform Built for How You Work

Every contractor’s workflow looks a little different. That’s why IVO Systems was designed as a connected platform that adapts to your operation. The modules work together seamlessly, keeping information consistent across your teams and reducing duplicate entry from the field to the office.

You don’t have to implement everything at once. Many contractors start with the tools that solve their biggest challenges and expand over time as they see the benefits of having everything in one system.

About the CE Top Tech List

Now in its 23rd year of publication, Construction Executive is the leading trade magazine about the business of construction. Published in its Sept./Oct. 2025 issue, the CE Top Tech list was developed by asking hundreds of firms that provide technology and software solutions for the construction industry to complete a nomination form. The information collected included: 1) the firm’s product offerings specific to the AEC industry; 2) the user profile (type and size of firm for which each product is recommended); 3) how each product is sold (by seat, user, license and/or project, etc.); and 4) the number of active users within the past 12 months (by individual users and/or companies).

There was no fee to participate and not every firm that completed the nomination form made this curated list. After carefully scrutinizing the data collected, the 2025 list of the CE Top Tech was developed. For more information, contact surveys@magazinexperts.com.

Note: Some technology firms that did not submit the nomination form by the deadline were included for the sake of completeness.
